  2.6. Organization of swimming training for preschool children

Classes on swimming training for preschool children are organized in swimming pools different types of, which are determined by their constructive features, conditions and features of operation.

In practice, it is advisable to use the following types of swimming pools for training preschool children:

1. Covered small-sized<*>  swimming pools:

In the buildings of children's preschool institutions or their annexes (for one kindergarten, for several kindergartens);

In the buildings of cultural and sports complexes, swimming pools, departments and sports societies (the so-called "Frogs");

In the buildings of children's sports complexes, serving pre-school institutions and primary classes of general education schools of the microdistrict;

In buildings of children's polyclinics - for children of early age.

<*>  Small-sized include all basins, the sizes of which are less accepted for swimming pools of sports complexes.

2. Open small-sized pools in the areas of pre-school institutions.

3. Covered and outdoor swimming pools  Sports type (track length - 25 and 50 m).

4. Prefabricated swimming pools.

5. On natural reservoirs - fencing of coastal areas of the bottom for occupation; the simplest water stations with an artificial bottom (floating pools); open pools on the shore of the reservoir. For training children swimming it is advisable to have a pool of at least the size set by the Building Code<*>  - 3 x 7 m, depth up to 80 cm. Such swimming pools are suitable for elementary learning of swimming for younger preschoolers. The experience of kindergartens shows that for the organization of classes with a group of children of senior preschool age, it is advisable to have pools with a large bath (12.5 x 6 m, depth - 1.2 - 1.5 m).

<*>  SNiP II-64-80. Building regulations. Part II. Design standards. Chapter 64. Children's pre-school institutions. Gosstroy USSR. M., 1981.

The most convenient form of the pool is rectangular. Depending on local conditions, other forms of basins (square, oval, round) are possible. For the descent of children into the water, it is necessary to provide for the arrangement of a vertical ladder with handrails. Steps of the stairs are preferably covered with ribbed rubber or other non-slip material.

The bath is finished with a one-tone facing tile. At the pool should be at least two dressing rooms, equipped with clothes hangers and towels, banquettes, sofas. On the floor in the locker rooms are put rubber mats or wooden gratings.

In the pool are mandatory shower rooms that have at least 2 - 4 shower units for washing the children's body before entering the pool and at the exit from it, and toilet. The number of shower units, stripped, toilet is determined by the capacity of the pool. In the pool should also be provided for devices for drying children's hair.

In order to ensure the safety of children and prevent injuries, when leaving the pool and from the shower room, rubber mats are placed to prevent children from slipping on the wet floor.

All premises that are allocated for preschool children must meet sanitary and hygienic requirements, be equipped with appropriate furniture, hangers for linen, towels, bathing and toiletries. When equipping the premises, measures must be taken to ensure that children's injuries are prevented.

In any case, the size of the pool should allow for conducting classes with a group of children of at least 8 - 10 people.

Teaching children swimming in outdoor pools is organized in the summer months. Depending on the climatic conditions, the bathing time can be different. In the middle zone - 2 - 3 months, in the southern regions - up to 3 - 4 months.

At pools on sites are necessary: shower installations; foot baths before going to the pool (0.8 - 1 x 0.1 m), places for undressing and dressing children, which must be equipped with benches and sofas with hygienic coating, towel racks.

The most appropriate location of the pool on the site should be considered its equipment in a place where the entire surface of the water is heated by the sun. This is especially important if the pool water is not heated.

Pools of collapsible structures can be installed outdoors, the conditions of their operation should be close to the conditions of open small-sized pools.

In the event that there is no swimming pool in the kindergarten, you need to prepare a place for swimming and learning how to swim children in the river, the lake, the sea. When choosing a bathing place, you should take into account the nature of the reservoir and the shore, the condition of the bottom, the speed of the water flow, and the distance from the pond to the kindergarten. It should be coordinated with the city or district OSVOD and sanitary service.

The section of the reservoir for bathing children should have a flat sandy bottom, be dense and non-swollen.

The bottom of the reservoir should be examined and cleaned in advance from foreign objects - stones, snags, algae and other objects. There should be no keys in the place where children should bathe.

The transition from a shallower depth to a larger one should be uniform, gentle, with a gradually falling bottom.

For children of younger preschool age, the depth of the reservoir should not exceed 60 cm, the elder - 80 - 90 cm, the speed of the current - no more than 0.5 m / sec.

The water in the pond must be clean and transparent. The suitability of water for bathing of children is established by sanitary inspection bodies. Conduct classes with children can be at an air temperature of +24 - 25 degrees. C, water - +23 degrees. C.

For classes, children are divided into subgroups of 12 to 15 children. The duration of the session together with the preparation for children of different preschool age is recommended from 10 to 15 to 30 - 40 minutes per subgroup (on land not more than 3 - 5 minutes).

  Hygienic requirements for the pool facilities, their equipment and water quality

Swimming with children of preschool age should be conducted in swimming pools that meet all sanitary and hygienic requirements. They provide: effective ventilation, sufficient illumination of all rooms; a favorable level of temperature and air, cleanliness and order are maintained.

In accordance with the Sanitary Rules<*>  the air temperature in the pool is maintained at +29 degrees. C; in the dressing room and shower - in the range of +25, +26 degrees. C, water in the pool - +27, +30 deg. C. The floor in the children's pool is heated, transitions are heated, measures are taken to prevent drafts.

<*>  Sanitary rules for the arrangement and maintenance of places for physical education and sports. N 156776. M., 1980.

The water supplied to the pool must meet all the requirements in accordance with GOST 2874-82 "Drinking water" and meet the following requirements: turbidity - no more than 1.5 mg / liter; chromaticity - no more than 20 degrees; transparency - no less than the depth of the bath (on the cross); smell and taste - no more than two points; residual chlorine - 0,3 - 0,5 mg / l; coli-titer - no more than 3; the ammonia content is not more than 0.5 mg / l; oxidability - 4 mg / l.

Disinfection of water in the pool, regardless of its type, size, water filling system is mandatory.

In small sized children's pools, water drainage and disinfection, provided a constant inflow of fresh water is not less than 10-15% of its volume, should be conducted at least once every 10 days.

With a daily water change, the method for disinfecting it, the regularity of quality analyzes, the presence of residual chlorine, and the system for cleaning the pool basins are set by the district sanitary epidemiological station, taking into account the number of groups involved (throughput) and the size of the basin.

Disinfection of the bath is carried out at each emptying of the pool. It is thoroughly washed with a soap-soda solution, brushed and then rinsed with hot water from a hose.

In accordance with the existing recommendations (the Compendium of Basic Instructional Materials on the Division of Hygiene of Children and Adolescents, Ministry of Health of the USSR, Chief Sanitary and Epidemiological Administration, M., 1975), daily cleaning is carried out in the swimming pool, airing, and current disinfection of premises. Disinfection is subject to: bypasses, floors, benches in the locker rooms, foot grips or rubber mats, door handles, handrails. They are wiped with rags moistened with 0.5-1.1% solution of chloramine. Periodically, the panels are disinfected to a level of at least 2 meters from the floor in the pool hall, utility rooms (during sanitary days) as the final stage of general cleaning.

The current control over the sanitary condition of the main and subsidiary premises of the swimming pool, the regular de-processing is carried out by medical personnel of the sanitary and epidemiological station.

In the event that the place of children's swimming is in the sports pool, it must have its own cleaning and disinfection system.

Requirements for water quality and sanitary state of the open pool should be similar to those for indoor swimming pools.

  Inventory and equipment

Indoor and outdoor pools should be equipped with devices that allow you to monitor and maintain the appropriate sanitary and hygienic condition, thermometers for measuring air and water temperature, psychrometers for determining air humidity.

At the pool it is necessary to have an inventory and equipment to ensure the safety of bathing and insuring children during classes:

Long pole (2 - 2.5 m) to maintain and insure the students learning to swim;

Lifebuoys (1 - 2);

Float "baby";

Separating paths to protect the place of bathing;

Colored floats, flags (to protect the place of bathing on the river, the sea and the location of children on land).

Other benefits and toys are also needed for the most effective organization of swimming lessons, conducting various exercises and games that contribute to the successful development of children in the water and the formation of swimming skills.

These include:

a) polystyrene boards (for each practitioner);

b) inflatable toys;

c) small toys of dense rubber (sinking);

d) hoops.

All benefits and toys must be sanitized in accordance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.

  Requirements for children's clothing, bathing and toiletries

When visiting the pool, each child should have the following bathing accessories: swimming trunks, a rubber cap, bathing slippers, a towel, a rubber sponge, a washcloth, soap, and a hairbrush.

When preparing for a swimming lesson, children must undress in their undressed underwear, put on their own overcoat gown or cloak, on their feet - socks and slippers; take your bathing accessories and go to the pool.

Before starting the classes, children are invited to use the toilet. Then they take off their clothes, whenever possible quickly and neatly put it or hang it. Before entering the water, children should be thoroughly washed in a shower with soap and a sponge (sponge). The water temperature of the hygienic shower is +36 deg. C. After that, the children become for a while under a cold shower (about 30 degrees C). In the places of exit from the shower room to the bypass path, a device of a through-going foot bath is provided.

After leaving the pool, the children take a warm shower, the temperature of which is 2 - 4 degrees above the water temperature in the pool. After swimming and shower, they are carefully dried with a towel and dry hair.

Classes for training swimming for preschool children are organized in pools of various types, which are determined by their design features, conditions and operating characteristics.

In practice, it is advisable to use the following types of swimming pools for training preschool children:

1. Covered small-sized pools:

In the buildings of children's preschool institutions or their annexes (for one kindergarten, for several kindergartens);

In the buildings of cultural and sports complexes, swimming pools, departments and sports societies (the so-called "Frogs");

In the buildings of children's sports complexes, serving pre-school institutions and primary classes of general education schools of the microdistrict;

In buildings of children's polyclinics - for children of early age.

Small-sized include all basins, the sizes of which are less accepted for swimming pools of sports complexes.

2. Open small-sized pools in the areas of pre-school institutions.

3. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools of sports type (track length - 25 and 50 m).

4. Prefabricated swimming pools.

5. On natural reservoirs - fencing of coastal areas of the bottom for occupation; the simplest water stations with an artificial bottom (floating pools); open pools on the shore of the reservoir. For training children swimming it is advisable to have a pool of at least the size set by the Building Norms and Rules - 3 x 7 m, depth up to 80 cm. Such swimming pools are convenient for the initial training of swimming for younger preschoolers. The experience of kindergartens shows that for the organization of classes with a group of children of senior preschool age, it is advisable to have pools with a large bath (12.5 x 6 m, depth - 1.2 - 1.5 m).

SNiP II-64-80.

C, water - +23 deg. C.

For classes, children are divided into subgroups of 12 to 15 children. The duration of the session together with the preparation for children of different preschool age is recommended from 10 to 15 to 30 - 40 minutes per subgroup (on land not more than 3 - 5 minutes).

Swimming with children of preschool age should be conducted in swimming pools that meet all sanitary and hygienic requirements. They provide: effective ventilation, sufficient illumination of all rooms; a favorable level of temperature and air, cleanliness and order are maintained.

In accordance with the Sanitary Rules, the temperature of the indoor pool is maintained at +29 degrees. C; in the dressing room and shower - in the range of +25, +26 degrees. C, water in the pool - +27, +30 deg. C. The floor in the children's pool is heated, transitions are heated, measures are taken to prevent drafts.

Sanitary rules for the arrangement and maintenance of places for physical education and sports. N 156776.

In the event that the children's swimming place is in the sports pool, it must have its own cleaning and disinfection system.

Requirements for water quality and sanitary state of the open pool should be similar to those for indoor swimming pools.

Long pole (2 - 2.5 m) to maintain and insure the students learning to swim;

Lifebuoys (1 - 2);

Float "baby";

Separating paths to protect the place of bathing;

Colored floats, flags (to protect the place of bathing on the river, the sea and the location of children on land).

Other benefits and toys are also needed for the most effective organization of swimming lessons, conducting various exercises and games that contribute to the successful development of children in the water and the formation of swimming skills.

These include:

a) polystyrene boards (for each practitioner);

b) inflatable toys;

c) small toys of dense rubber (sinking);

d) hoops.

All benefits and toys must be sanitized in accordance with sanitary and hygienic requirements.

When visiting the pool, each child should have the following bathing accessories: swimming trunks, a rubber cap, bathing slippers, a towel, a rubber sponge, a washcloth, soap, and a hairbrush.

When preparing for a swimming lesson, children should undress in their undressing underwear, put on their own overcoat gown or cloak, on their feet - socks and slippers; take your bathing accessories and go to the pool.

C. Decree of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation No. 88 of 21.04.93 "ON THE APPROVAL OF STANDARDS FOR DETERMINING THE NUMBER OF STAFF EMPLOYED IN THE SERVICE OF PRESCHOOL INSTITUTIONS (KIND, KINDERGARTEN, KINDERGARTEN)"

2.3.2. Methodology for calculating the number of group personnel (educators, caretakers' assistants)

The number of group personnel is determined taking into account:

Limit filling of groups by children (item 1.3);

Duration of stay of children in the group;

The number of working days of a children's institution (groups in a pre-school institution) per week;

The normative duration of the work time of the teacher and the teacher's assistant per week (depending on the type of preschool institution).

The number of educators is calculated by one post for each group per shift:

In nursery and pre-school groups with daytime stay of children - based on their work in the group during the entire mode of operation of the institution (group);

In nursery groups with round the clock stay of children - based on their work in the group for 24 hours;

In pre-school groups with a round-the-clock stay of children - based on their work in the group for 14 hours.

The number of assistant educators is calculated for one post for each group per shift, during the entire regime of the institution.

Number of working days of a childcare institution per week:

6-day work week; 5-day working week.

The normative working hours of the educator per week:

In groups for children with developmental disabilities (for children with mental or physical disabilities) - 25 hours;

In other cases - 36 hours.

The normative working hours of a teacher's assistant per week in groups:

For children with tuberculous intoxication - 36 hours;

For mentally retarded children and children with central nervous system damage and mental disorders - 36 hours;

In other cases - 40 hours.

The number of teachers and assistants of teachers in the group is calculated by the formula:

Where Кн - the factor considering planned planned absences of workers during holiday, illness, etc.

Where% of planned absenteeism is determined by accounting data.

Example 1. General purpose group. The number of children in the group over the age of three is 20.

The mode of operation of a pre-school institution is 6 days a week, with a 9-hour stay of children, 10% - planned absenteeism according to accounting data.

Example 2. General purpose group. The number of children under the age of one year - 10 people, 10% - planned absences.

The mode of work of a preschool institution is a 5-day working week with a 24-hour stay of children.

Number of tutors in the group:

24 x 5 x 1.1 = 132 = 3,67.
