How to conduct steam heating in a private house. Step-by-step instructions for installing the heating of a private house with your own hands. The worse the steam room heating

Steam boilers are becoming more and more popular for installing a heating system in a residential building. Previously, in the vast majority of cases, they were used in enterprises.

Currently, companies have begun to produce steam devices that are specifically designed for installation in private homes. They have a lower pressure than industrial units. Pressure indicators of such boilers do not exceed 6 atm, and steam is heated to a maximum of 130 ° C.

Steam boilers: advantages and disadvantages of use

As an energy carrier steam boilers  use saturated steam. It is formed as a result of combustion of a certain type of fuel.

The main advantages of using them are:

  • economy - low price of the boiler;
  • high performance - keep thermal energy well;
  • universality - the ability to use different types of fuel;
  • the steam boiler has a high level of efficiency, which makes it possible to use a small diameter pipe for mounting a home heating system, making it more compact;
  • universality - can be used absolutely in any region, at the same time, for example, a gas boiler depends on the gas supply of the region;
  • low inertia contributes to the rapid warming up of the house;
  • no need to monitor the level of fuel consumed.

They have steam boilers and some drawbacks. The main among them:

  • the absence of the possibility of smooth regulation of the operation of steam boilers, different rooms of the house can be heated at different rates;
  • not very long service life of the steam boiler;
  • too intense heating of pipes, radiators;
  • steam during the filling of the boiler increases the noise level.

Basic design elements and installation features

Like other heating devices, the steam boiler has a rather complex design. Each model has its own design features.

The main elements are:

  • furnace - the place where fuel is delivered;
  • ash-pit - here is collected waste material (slag, ash);
  • burner;
  • drum - it is attached to it measuring instruments, automatic fuses, pipeline system.

Each steam boiler must be equipped with a manometer. It measures the level of vapor pressure.

A steam boiler is installed below the level of the pipeline and other heating appliances. This contributes to normal conditions for steam circulation and return from the condensate heating system.

Types of devices

All steam boilers are divided into two types. They differ in the type of formation of saturated steam:

1. Water tube boilers  - the heating of water, which moves through the pipes, is made from the outside and it turns into steam.

This species is divided into subspecies:

  • drum devices  - in such a system, water passes through the heating system several times, as a result, heat is given repeatedly;
  • flow devices  - the coolant moves in a one-way direction, it gradually converts to steam.

For heating the house, liquid (mazut, diesel) or solid (peat, coal, wood) energy and natural gas are most often used.

Less commonly used electricity. This is due to the high cost of the resource and the relatively low efficiency of operation. A gas-fired steam boiler operating on natural gas is considered economically advantageous.

Advantages of a boiler of this type:

  • fire safety;
  • quick heating at home.

The drawback is the complexity of the design, as well as the need to ensure absolute tightness of the connections.

2. Fire-tube boilers  - the pipes are immersed in water, the heating energy flows through them, resulting in steam.

Their advantage is the simplicity of the design, but the existence of a risk of explosion reduces the popularity of such devices.

Economizer functions and types

An important element of steam boilers are economizers. Their functional purpose is to heat the water just before it is fed into the steam boiler.

Economizers from pipes are made. They bend into vertical kites and are packaged in a staggered package.

These devices are divided into different types:

  • water economizers - provide heating of water with heat, formed from the products of combustion of fuel;
  • contact water economizers - installed after steam boilers, used to increase the boiler's QFP, also their installation provides hot water supply to the house;
  • cast iron economizers - are used for heating water if steam boilers have a pressure not exceeding 2.4 MPa. They are mounted from cast iron, due to which they are resistant to mechanical damage, as well as to a number of chemical factors;
  • steel economizers - suitable for steam boilers with an overpressure exceeding 23 kg / s / cm 2.

The methods by which economizers are designed may be different. There are built-in models or installed near the boilers.

Boiler selection features

Choosing steam boilers should take into account a number of characteristics. The main parameter is power. The efficiency depends on this indicator.

Experts advise to pay attention to the type and functionality of the device, its heat balance and whether the Rehau pipes are on it.

Selecting the type of fuel, which operates the boiler, it is important to choose the most economical option in each specific situation. Many experts recommend a gas steam boiler.

Ensure effective heating of housing can only boiler, selected in accordance with the area of a particular room. Individual choice is necessary and economizers.

Sample indicators of the required capacity of boilers for rooms of different sizes:

  • devices with a power of 25 kW are suitable for installation in a room with an area of 60-200 m 2;
  • devices with a capacity of 25-30 kW are designed for buildings of 200-300 m 2;
  • the power of 35-60 kW devices is required for heating 300-600 m 2.

Economizers will help increase the efficiency of the boilers, reducing the cost of heat.

The price of steam boilers: determining factors that shape the cost

The price of steam boilers depends on the capacity and performance of a specific model. The higher these parameters are, the greater the cost of the equipment. More expensive are devices that provide high working pressure. The higher the price for the devices, in which this indicator exceeds 0.2 kg / cm 2.

Of great importance is who is the producer country of the equipment. Generally speaking, the most expensive products on the market are German products. Boilers made in this country have good performance characteristics, are durable and reliable.

The price of the device depends on the type of construction. Electrode boilers are cheaper. Their price is 30-45 thousand rubles. The cost of TEN models reaches 50 - 70 thousand rubles.

Experts argue that the use of steam boilers for domestic purposes is very promising. At the same time, they have high efficiency. Depending on individual preferences, it is possible to choose the type of boilers that will operate from different heat carriers. It is economically advantageous to install a gas appliance.

To select a specific boiler model that can work as efficiently as possible in a particular building, after consultation with a competent specialist.

Probably everyone has a dream to have a country house. Even in the case when there is a comfortable city apartment. The house must have water, sewerage and an efficient heating system. It should be noted that steam heating is the most affordable and fast option for heating the room, which does not lose its relevance. The functionality and reliability of such a system has been tested by experience and has been used for more than a decade. To make a house heating system is not fantastic, for this you need only know the principles of the heating system.

To do this, you need a boiler to heat the fluid and circulate it. As a heating liquid is used ordinary water, less often - antifreeze. Heating can be done different ways: with the help of coal, electricity, gas. Heated water will rise through the pipe, and be sent to the heating elements, heat is already given through the batteries. After the water has cooled down, it reverse pipe  in the cauldron.

If the system is short, then you can do without forced circulation. But if you can not do without it, then the pump is installed, it will create additional pressure, the water will begin to move through the system at an accelerated pace. In order for the system to operate without a pump, the temperature difference should be 20-25 degrees.
  The boiler is usually installed on the floor, but if it is necessary to increase the circulation or pressure drop, it is better to install it in the basement or on the ground floor. The difference in height between the boiler and the heating element in the best option  is three meters. But in this case, you can not use gas to heat water. Since it is forbidden to conduct gas in the basement.

The number of heating elements must be calculated at the design stage, as well as the length of the pipes, fittings. The project can be done both independently and with the help of specialists. The final result will be influenced by a number of factors, all of which must be taken into account. Much depends on how the system will be heated.

For drainage, a thicker tube (one inch) should be used, for the remaining wiring the pipe should be ½ inch. Cold and hot branches should not be flat, the slope is 0.05-0.1 degrees, it should correspond to the direction of hot water. For each battery it is recommended to install a tap, so you can adjust the water supply for each room.

The choice of the boiler depends on the possibilities of supplying electricity, gas, and the structure of the house. If the house is two-story, then the system of steam heating should be two-pipe. Hot water can come from below or from above. In this case expansion tank  can be installed in the attic, and the boiler in the basement. Then the heating will be carried out in the boiler, and move along the riser, after which the water enters the heating elements and the expansion tank. From the expansion tank, it is possible to divert water to the washbasin.

Step-by-step instruction for installing private house heating

1. First of all, you need to choose a boiler with modern design and technical capabilities. They are gas, electric, fuel.

2. In the second stage, you will need to select a water circulation scheme. It can be single-tube, two-pipe, with natural and artificial circulation of water.

3. The third stage is the layout of the system. It can be done top or bottom. In the first case, water comes from the attic, and in the second case - from the basement.

4. A huge role in the installation plays the quality of the materials used (pipes, radiators).

5. After that, lay the pipes, the places of their laying should be optimal. The pipeline itself should be straight and not long. Joints and folds should be as small as possible. The tubes themselves can be bent, but overlapping is not recommended. Special attention is required for the run, their length directly depends on the diameter of the pipes. They are used for threaded connection of pipes among themselves.

6. Radiators with pipes are connected in a somewhat different way, here everything depends on which of the circuits is used (single-tube or two-pipe). In the first case, each radiator near the boiler will be colder than the previous one. When connecting a large number of radiators, pipes with a large cross section are used.

7. After that, connect the pump to the pipes for circulation. They have a small size and small weight. The device is designed for use in a residential area. Such a device does not make noise, and absorbs the minimum amount of electricity.

8. Before the pump is installed a direct filter, it is necessary to protect the pump from getting large particles.

9. The forced circulation system requires the connection of the expansion tank, it is connected to the highest point (it should, as a rule, immediately after the boiler). After this point, the water goes all the way down.

10. Connection of the boiler provides for the installation of two pipes in it, one of which will go up hot water, and on the other return the same water, but already in a cooled form.

11. The boiler is fixed to the floor by brackets, if it is gas, it is necessary to remove the chimney pipe. The boiler can have a built-in expansion tank, pump, safety group, then several installation positions can be eliminated.

Between the safety group and the boiler it is never necessary to install a shut-off valve.
  These are the main steps for installing a steam heating system, they are simple enough, so problems usually do not arise.

If the coolant is exclusively steam, then a special boiler will be needed. Such a system has its drawbacks, so steam-water heating is often used. In this case, a steam heater is installed.

Heating can work from a flat surface, for this purpose, special heated panels are installed in the room, which will be heated. They can stand in the partition, in the walls of the room, in the floor. Such panels are made of steel pipes, which are mounted in concrete. Hot water will act as a heat carrier, while steam is used to a much lesser extent.

consist of a protective grille, body, heat exchanger of aluminum heat exchanger plates and copper pipes, connection points, air vent valve. Water heating convectors can be connected to any type of supply pipes - any material + any diameters.

Owners of private houses certainly face the issue of heating their homes. The optimal solution will be an option that allows you to heat the room in a qualitative way, while consuming the minimum amount of fuel. That is why the owners of suburban real estate attracts a scheme of steam heating, because steam can heat the room in a matter of minutes.

Without a heating system, life in a country house  in the autumn, spring and, especially, winter months is impossible. Often, for cottages and cottages, periodically visited by the owners, they select the option of steam heating.

It can provide very rapid heating of the whole house, which will please the owner and his guests, who decided to spend the weekend at the dacha.

Residential buildings lose a certain amount of heat. Moreover, it will require a different amount of energy for its replenishment. This indicator depends on the region of residence

Principal features of heating by steam

Steam heating is convenient for arranging in houses rarely visited by owners. All thanks to the peculiarities of the coolant circulating through the pipes. This is a steam that appears only when the boiler is running. After all, when no one is at the dacha, and frost is 15 degrees or more outside, you do not have to worry that the pipes will burst, as in the case with a water coolant.

For steam heating, copper pipes can be used if family budget  can pull their high cost

Steam heating  has its advantages:

  • a large amount of heat released during condensation;
  • a smaller area of radiators of heat in the room;
  • quick start and stop the system;
  • saving money for heating;
  • frost resistance.

With regard to the amount of heat released during steam condensation, it is many times greater than the heat given off by the heated water circulating in the heating system. 1 kg of steam at a temperature of 130 degrees during condensation releases energy equal to 2300 kJ / kg. As for the volume, the condensate takes 400-1500 times less space than the same mass of steam.

This feature allows the use of pipes of smaller diameter. In small rooms, you can do without batteries - the heat emitted by the tube will be enough to heat them.

Due to the specifics of the coolant, it is possible to use pipes of special construction - finned or ribbed

Another feature is the rapid heating of the room. It is convenient, when getting out for a few hours outside the city, do not have to deal with the issue of heating for a long time. The saved time can be used for more pleasant troubles, for example, fry a shish kebab and spend more time with friends.

Leaving from a summer residence in a cold season, it is not necessary to spend time for preservation of heating system, water drainage and other actions called to save system from failure. In the absence of fuel in the steam boiler, steam does not flow into the steam line. Accordingly, there is no water in the condensate line. Therefore, there will be no problems with freezing of the system.

Ribbed pipes can be made in the form of a register, which is used instead of radiators

The worse the steam room heating

Steam heating, in addition to its advantages, has drawbacks. The most important of them is a high degree of danger. This is due to the specific heat carrier. When steam under pressure goes through a pipe, then:

  • when a steam pipeline breaks through, it can seriously injure a person;
  • when accidentally touching the surface of a pipe or battery, it is easy to get a burn;
  • if the heavy equipment is misused, it may explode.

The second disadvantage is the baking of dust falling on the surface of the steam pipe. Under the influence of high temperature, dust particles partially decompose. The products of their disintegration adversely affect the residents of the house, especially if among them there are allergies.

It is convenient to use copper pipes for a steam pipe. But working with them is difficult - you will need skills of soldering or a specialist in this field

Thirdly, the over-dried air, which all inhabitants of the dwelling are forced to breathe. To improve the microclimate in the room, it is necessary to select a humidifier. This is an additional expense item, which should be envisaged at the design stage of the heating system.

Fourth, the temperature of the coolant is simply impossible to regulate and reduce as desired. This drawback creates a lot of difficulties when using the system of steam heating in houses with permanent residence. The way out of this situation is laying several branches of the steam pipeline and then including them in the work as needed.

Touching the pipes of steam heating is dangerous - you can easily get a burn

Fifthly, it is necessary to use a special steam fittings designed to work with steam. The same applies to the material of pipes and radiators. It should be borne in mind that the service life of the condensate pipeline will be significantly less when compared to water heating, where the return pipes of the same material are installed. This is especially true for dry condensate pipelines.

Sixth, you should take care of the appropriate wall decoration. After all, paper wallpapers do not have the necessary level of heat resistance. Here, suitable cement plaster, painted with appropriate paint.

One of the heat resistant materials is an asbestos sheet. They can beat the walls to protect the combustible material from the effects of the high temperature of the steam pipe

Another interesting option is a loft-style finish. To do this, the inner surface of the wall, along which the steam pipe will pass, can be laid out of heat-resistant bricks. This will not only create a unique atmosphere, but also protect residents when exposed to hot wall material.

Style loft involves the use of industrial attributes in conjunction with luxury furniture items

The seventh drawback is the need for the equipment of a separate room for the boiler room. It is inadmissible to have a steam boiler in the living room. It is very dangerous. The location of the boiler must be equipped with heat-resistant materials and well ventilated.

Among the heat resistant materials, manufacturers offer a wide variety of bricks. You can choose the desired color and shade, which fits perfectly into the interior

Steam heating schemes

The heating option using steam as a heat carrier has a variety of schemes. You can classify them by the following parameters:

  • pressure in the system;
  • a method of communicating with the atmosphere;
  • pipe connection scheme;
  • method of returning condensate.

The pressure in a functioning steam heating system (PA) can be high and lower. Depending on its absolute value, the following systems are distinguished:

  • low pressure - less than 0.7 kgf / cm 2;
  • high pressure - more than 0.7 kgf / cm 2;
  • vacuum-steam - less than 1 kgf / cm 2.

The first option is recommended for home use. Special boilers designed for steam heating allow the implementation of a low pressure system in a private house. They can work for different types  fuel - coal, wood, gas, fuel oil.

For a steam boiler house it is important to equip a separate room in order to protect all family members from possible dangers

The second option is dangerous for home use. To work with high pressure systems, you need appropriate knowledge and specialization. If an unprepared craftsman decides to collect high-pressure steam heating in his dacha, he risks remaining, at best, without a dacha.

A boiler working with high pressure  is large in size and very high in cost. This is an option for use in the industry. But many domestic craftsmen experimentally try to implement such a setup with their own hands. This option is extremely dangerous to use in the heating system.

For houses and cottages household boilers are used that produce steam. These are low-pressure units

Vacuum-steam system differs from the first two by the presence of an air collector and an additional device that provides vacuuming of the entire internal space.

Depending on the method of connection with the atmosphere, open and closed circuits  steam heating. In the first case, the system has a connection with the atmosphere - it is open. In the second - completely isolated from the effects of atmospheric pressure and air intake from the environment.

Single-pipe scheme for steam heating is no different from the water system, except for the diameter of the pipelines for steam and condensate

The way of pipeline traceability of the software scheme is:

  • horizontal single-tube;
  • vertical two-tube.

The former are used, as a rule, in one- and two-story houses  and structures with a ceiling height of up to 2.7 m and an area of up to 80 m 2, where there is no need to regulate the temperature. The latter are more suitable for the implementation of a steam heating system in buildings with 3 or more floors.

Two-pipe scheme is effective in houses with a large number of floors and a large heated area

Moreover, software systems can be mounted:

  • with top, middle or bottom wiring;
  • with a wet or dry pipeline for the movement of condensate;
  • with dead-end or passing motion of both steam and condensate.

The method of returning condensate allows you to isolate a closed and open circuit. In the first case, the water formed during the condensation is gravity fed to the boiler. In this case, it is necessary to withstand the recommended slope of steam and condensate lines - from 1.0 to 0.5 cm of slope per 1 running meter.

And, the slope should be correctly made in the direction of steam movement for the steam pipeline and towards condensate flow for the return pipe. The boiler itself under such a scheme must necessarily be located below the level of the return pipeline.

The scheme of the boiler boiler arrangement with open networks implies the use of water make-up using pumps

In the scheme of the open steam heating system, there is a special container for collecting condensate - a tank. From it, with the help of a pump, the liquid can be sent to the boiler or removed from the heating system. In the second case, constant replenishment of the boiler with fresh water should be realized for the continuous formation of steam.

Preferred for a country house  select a closed-circuit heating scheme with top wiring and a wet condensate line, i. for the entire volume of the channel filled with water. For open circuits use the option of a dry pipeline for the movement of condensate, partially filled with condensate.

The diameters of the pipeline for the collection and movement of condensate can be selected using reference information for designers

How to correctly calculate the steam system

Having stopped the choice on the steam system, it is necessary to make a project of its location in the building and perform preliminary calculations. There are 2 options:

  • to calculate the main components of steam heating on their own;
  • ask for help from a professional designer.

The second way to solve this issue is most preferable. After all, only a specialist, having behind him not one successfully implemented project for the arrangement of the heating system, is able to take into account all the wishes of the owner, without forgetting the regulatory requirements.

If there is no possibility and desire to contact the designer, you can proceed to an independent calculation of the heating system by the ferry. You can use the guidelines and useful recommendations from the literature, for example, from the designer's handbook.

For calculation it is necessary to take the plan of your house and calculate the area you want to heat. Then identify the location of the radiators.

With steam heating, registers made of galvanized or finned tubes are often used instead of a battery. They can have a design design

Radiators are selected depending on the required power. Moreover, it is important to take into account specifications  I like the device - it must withstand the load when working with steam.

Cast iron radiators are best not used in the device of steam heating rarely visited by the dacha. Having stood cold for a long time, they can not cope with sharp heating and burst

Calculate the length of the steam and the pipeline for condensate is best, being in the room itself. It is more convenient to plan the height of their gasket and the location of the radiators, if they are needed.

For steam heating it is possible to use metal pipes made of galvanized steel or copper

Having calculated the required number of running meters of the pipe, do not forget about the steam fittings - valves, tees, if necessary - steam traps, a pump.

To determine the capacity of the steam boiler, it is necessary to calculate the volume of all heated rooms and multiply this figure by the indicator of the required amount of energy for heating 1 m 3. This indicator depends on the region of residence. So, for the European part the figure is 40 W.

  • the area of the 1st room: 5 * 2,95 = 14,75 m 2;
  • 2nd: 3 * 2.45 = 7.35 m 2;
  • 3rd: 2 * 5.4 = 10.8 m 2.

Then it is necessary to calculate the volume of the whole house: 14.75 * 2.6 + 7.35 * 2.6 + 10.8 * 2.6 = 38.09 + 19.11 + 28.08 = 57.02 m2. Now multiply the resulting volume by the heat demand: 57.02 * 40 W = 2288 and add a power reserve of at least 20%: 2288 * 1.2 = 2745.6 W or about 3 kW.

The second option for determining the power is by area. It is conventionally accepted that for the heating of every 10 m 2, 1 kW of boiler power + 30% of the reserve is required if the ceiling height does not exceed the permissible level up to 2.7 m.

Moreover, it is necessary to buy the unit for 20-30% higher than the calculated power size. In practice, experts advise taking the boiler at least 30% more powerful so that it does not work at the limit of its forces.

Use only a certified unit for steam heating. To take a self-sufficient boiler is very dangerous - you can seriously suffer from its explosion

Select the steam boiler from a trusted manufacturer. The unit must have a quality certificate and a guarantee of the plant that issued it. Steam boiler must be equipped with safety valve. Also, temperature and pressure control devices and a pressure regulator are required to normalize the pressure, if required.

Errors in the heating of steam

Pursuing a device individual heating, it is necessary to carefully study the existing options. Choose for your homeownership is the most appropriate option, in order to continue to receive:

  • economical fuel consumption;
  • effective heating;
  • convenience of system maintenance;
  • long service life of equipment.

Having stopped among all the options of heating on the steam, it is important to try to avoid mistakes made during its installation. First, most often the owners of the house believe that the coolant in the system is water. This is not true. When steam is heated by pipes and batteries, steam will circulate.

Proceeding from this, it is necessary to choose the material of the reinforcement, with which steam and water obtained during condensation will contact.

To avoid burns when operating steam heating, it is better to provide protection for radiators

Secondly, even at the design stage of the heating system, it is forgotten to provide protection for pipes and batteries. Steam, moving along the steam pipeline, has a temperature of 100 degrees. He heats all the elements of the structure quite strongly, which is dangerous for the residents of the house / cottage.

Thirdly, when installing a steam line and a condensate line, novice masters forget to provide a bias towards the movement of steam and water, respectively.

Fourthly, some domestic craftsmen incorrectly select the power of the boiler. As a result, instead of the desired temperature in the room, 13-15 degrees are obtained. For a daily comfortable living such a temperature regime is clearly not enough.

Fifthly, inexperienced welders can tolerate flaws when welding a steam pipe. As a result, at any time the pipe can break through and a stream of steam moving under pressure along it will rush directly to the person next to it. This is an extremely dangerous situation, the possibility of occurrence of which should not be forgotten.

When developing the layout of the heating system, we must not forget about the correct outline of doorways

All these errors are inherent in the arrangement of the heating system by home masters, who first encountered such a question. Wanting to save money and choosing a variant with steam, the owners decide to cope on their own, deciding not to contact a professional designer, welder and other specialists.

Lack of personal practical experience and frivolous attitude towards the process can prevent proper steam heating. Some of the mistakes made during the installation, can not only disrupt the habitual way of life, but also seriously damage the health of people living in the house.

Own country house is the dream of any city dweller, the opportunity to be away from the bustle, noise and gas pollution. Naturally, in order to live in a private house was comfortable, it is necessary to arrange a dwelling, equip it with a lighting, gas supply and heating system.

At present, steam heating in a private house with its own hands is very popular, thanks to which it is possible to make the building cozy and comfortable.

Steam heating: actual and efficient

Despite the existence in the domestic market of great choice heating systems, steam heating of a private house does not lose its relevance. The explanation for this is quite simple - the reliability, functionality and versatility of the system have been tested over many years of operation experience, whereas efficiency has been proven by many consumers.

The system in which steam is used as a heat carrier is simple to install and operate, is as clear as possible, and its installation is possible even with one's own hands.

Heating steam has enough simple scheme  work. The central element is the steam boiler - it serves as a source of heat. Selection of steam entering the main and radiators is made from a steam turbine or a specialized reduction-cooling unit.

In the functioning system, the steam is converted into a condensate and returns to the source of heat by gravity. In this case, if the system is open, then the condensate is delivered via a pump. One of the features of steam heating can be called the use of small diameter pipes.

Advice! One of the conditions for the qualitative operation of a steam heating system is the use of only high-quality and certified equipment. From the technology depends directly on the reliability and safety of heating.

Varieties of steam heating

At present, steam heating of a country house can be done in two main ways:

  • Single-circuit diagram.  The system is designed only for heating the house, providing real estate with heat;
  • Two-circuit heating circuit.  Perfectly cope with heating and supply of real estate with hot water.

The peculiarity of the system of steam heating is the use of special boilers, as well as radiators. In this case, the steam and battery lines are characterized by a high operating temperature (about 100 ° C and even more) and increased strength.

Both horizontal and vertical pipelines are used, while the distribution of the mains can be made in the lower and upper ways. The choice and characteristics of the pipes depend, first of all, on the features of the room.

Choosing a heating boiler: the features of the process

Before making steam heating in the house it is important to choose the right boiler. This unit is the real "heart" of the system, and therefore the selection process should be approached with special care, given the area of the premises, as well as the features of the house.

Heating steam boilers, which are presented on the domestic market, can work on a wide variety of fuels.

Among the most popular are:

  • Solid fuel (coal, peat);
  • Liquid fuel (gasoline, diesel fuel);
  • Combined fuel;
  • Natural gas (both main and liquefied).

One of the features of the boiler, which requires steam heating in the country or a country house, is pressure - it is measured in the atmosphere. It should be noted that the pressure values can be even lower or higher than 6 atmospheres in the case of a vacuum-vapor system.

If we talk about the design of steam boilers, then, as can be seen in many photos and videos on the network, it is quite simple. The main components of the heating unit are: a furnace, a ash pan and a burner. At the same time, an equally important role is assigned to the drum, directly to which all equipment, pipelines and fuses are fixed.

Pipes used in steam heating systems

It should be noted that the price of steam system  The heating depends to a large extent on the type of pipes that are used. The choice of this or that option depends only on the individual wishes of the owner of the property, financial possibilities, as well as the features of the building.

Currently, among the most popular types of pipelines for steam heating systems are:

  • Copper pipes.  It is considered to be the most durable, reliable and practical. With increased pressure, such a pipeline behaves quite adequately, withstands even high temperatures of the coolant. At the same time, the price of such pipes is quite high;
  • Stainless and galvanized pipes.  Installation work is carried out using threaded connections. The quality, strength and reliability of such pipelines at altitude;
  • Steel pipelines. It is implied the performance of welding during the installation process. The steel pipeline for steam heating is durable and reliable, but at the same time, many highway models are susceptible to corrosion (unless the manufacturer has performed a special treatment).

Outcomes

The system of steam heating for a country house is an opportunity to provide a property with high-quality and effective heat. It should be noted that such a heating scheme is characterized by its simplicity, functionality and reliability, availability and reliability.

If you competently and responsibly approach the design and installation of all units and pipelines, you can get the most out: provide the house with heat, create the most optimal conditions in the room.

To date, heating, which uses steam as a coolant, is in constant demand among consumers. This is a popular, efficient and reliable heating, the cost of installation, maintenance and operation of which is guaranteed to everyone.
