A tuna sandwich is a quick option for a snack or even breakfast. Today we are preparing a sandwich in Uzbek style :)), not with toast bread, but with flatbread. It’s even more interesting and definitely tastier. A prerequisite for such a sandwich is the presence of high-quality canned food. It is better to take natural tuna fillet or fillet in oil. Under no circumstances use tuna for salads; there it is crushed into puree, and not only is it unsightly, but it is also very difficult to separate the oil.

This sandwich can be made with the addition of cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and fresh cucumbers. I’ll give you the simplest, most basic recipe.

For a tuna sandwich we will need these products.

Prepare the bread. The peels can be cut off or left as is. You can take toast bread, or you can use any bread. Open the can of tuna and carefully drain the oil.

Boil and chop the eggs. There is another option when the eggs are cut into thin rings. But they hold their shape so poorly that it’s easier to grind them.

Cut the sweet pickled cucumber into thin slices diagonally. Tear off the parsley leaves.

Combine tuna, eggs and mayonnaise. Mix everything until smooth. You can lay it out in layers, if desired.

Spread the bread with mustard. My homemade one is very strong, so I smeared it lightly. Layer the tuna with the eggs, then the parsley, and place the cucumber slices on top.

Cover with the second piece of bread and press lightly. The tuna sandwich is ready.

It can even be served with coffee or tea, a very satisfying option.

Cooking method

    Boil the egg hard and cool. Peel and grate on a coarse grater or chop with a knife.

    Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

    Drain excess liquid from canned tuna. Place the fish in a bowl and mash with a fork. It is best to use tuna in its own juice for sandwiches, it is not so fatty.

    Add the egg, cheese and mayonnaise to the tuna in a bowl. Mix everything thoroughly. Taste and, if necessary, add salt to the filling to taste.

    Place a quarter of the resulting filling on a piece of bread and distribute evenly. Cover with the second piece of bread. Repeat with remaining bread and filling.

    Install the grill panel into the multi-baker. Plug in the multi-baker, close it and wait until the green light on the lid lights up. Place two sandwiches in the multi-baker and close the lid. Cook for 6 minutes. Carefully remove the sandwiches from the multi-baker and place them on a wire rack. Also, cook the remaining two.

How to make canned tuna sandwiches:

Cut the baguette into slices up to 1 cm thick. Do not make them too thin - otherwise the sandwich may turn out “flimsy”. But the baguette slices should not be thick, so that the filling does not get lost against the background of the base of the sandwich.

Boil the egg hard, cool to room temperature, and peel. Separate the yolk from the white.

Three egg whites on a medium or fine grater. Add mayonnaise and mix. We don’t throw away the yolk - we will need it later.

Grated protein and mayonnaise make a mass that is quite tasty on its own. Apply it in a thin layer to the baguette slices.

Canned tuna can be in oil or in its own juice - it does not matter. More important will be its consistency - it should not be finely chopped, as for salad. The tuna fillet in the can should be whole or in large pieces.

Place a piece of canned tuna on a slice of baguette. The size of the piece is approximately 1-2 cm.

We cut the fresh cucumber into thin rings, then cut each ring into 2-4 parts. Place the cucumber next to the tuna on the baguette.

Remember we still had the yolk from a boiled egg? Now it’s his turn: rub it on a medium or fine grater.

And sprinkle our sandwich with grated yolk.

A few words about the ingredients of the recipe and the cost of the finished dish. Recently we were in a cafe, where one such sandwich costs 400 rubles. As a fan of these sandwiches, I’m very interested in how they affect my size. I counted the calories - it turned out that everything is not so scary - up to 200 kcal per 100g is not serious :) Besides, you can always remove the mayonnaise.

Recipe

    Step 1: Boil the eggs

    Place the eggs in cold water and cook for 10 minutes after boiling.

    Step 2: Toast the bread

    While the eggs are boiling, take out the toaster and lightly toast the pieces of bread. Please note that it is better to take large-format toasted bread.     Add mayonnaise. Open the can of tuna and drain the liquid completely. Place the canned food into the mixture and mix everything carefully. The tuna sauce for our sandwich is ready. If desired, you can add ground black pepper.

    Step 4: Cutting the vegetables

    Cut the onion into thin rings. It is important that the onions in the sandwiches are sweet and do not overwhelm the delicate taste of the tuna. If the onion is bad, it is better to scald it with boiling water and marinate it with apple or wine vinegar.

    We cut the tomatoes into thin rings. To do this, it is better to use a special knife with notches.

    Step 5: Cutting the Eggs

    Cool the eggs in cold water, peel and cut into rings. That's all, you can assemble our sandwiches.

After all, even if you add a little more mayonnaise or butter to the sandwich, the number of calories already increases by 50 calories.

Classic tuna sandwich

The recipe for making a classic sandwich is not particularly complicated and is a traditional version of this dish. For it we need to take:

  • albacore in a jar - 150 g;
  • boiled egg;
  • 2-4 tbsp. l. mayonnaise;
  • lemon juice (2 tsp);
  • 2 tbsp. sweet relish (vegetable sauce);
  • finely chopped celery - 1 arrow;
  • lettuce leaves;
  • lemon black pepper - 2 tsp;
  • bread - 4 pieces.

Let's start cooking. The bread should be finely chopped and fried in a toaster. Boil the egg, cool and peel. Mix all ingredients, excluding bread and salad. Cool the resulting mass. Place lettuce leaves on the base, and then the filling on them, which is covered with another piece of bread. The sandwich we have just reviewed is classic and easy to prepare.

Option with tuna and tomatoes

The version with tomatoes is also very tasty. This tuna sandwich (the photo in the article confirms this) looks delicious. The ingredients here are the following:

  • tuna - 350 g;
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery;
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise;
  • finely chopped onion - 1.5 tbsp. l.;
  • red wine vinegar - 3/4 tsp;
  • a pinch of salt;
  • - 8 slices;
  • the same number of tomato slices;
  • rye bread - 4 slices;
  • a pinch of freshly ground black pepper;
  • Art. l. chopped parsley;
  • for garnish - pepper.

So, let's start cooking:

  1. First of all, preheat the oven.
  2. You need to mix in a bowl: tuna, celery, mayonnaise, onion, parsley, vinegar, pepper and salt.
  3. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 1 minute in the preheated oven.
  4. Place the prepared salad mixture on the slices, and on it one piece of cheese, a layer of tomatoes, and the remaining cheese on top.
  5. Place the sandwiches back into the oven and bake for 3-5 minutes until the cheese pieces are melted.

As we noticed, here the sandwich is presented in an open form, which is atypical for this; however, it also has a right to exist. The calorie content of this product is 519 kcal. The substance content will be as follows: carbohydrates - 22.1 g, fats - 30.4 g, proteins - 38.6 g, fiber - 2.9 g, cholesterol - 93 mg, sodium - 822 g.

Club sandwich with tuna and egg

This type of sandwich consists of toasted slices of bread with filling between them, but they are also cut in half into triangular pieces. As a rule, restaurants also serve this dish with a side dish. Let's take a closer look at the recipe for making this sandwich, where the filling will be tuna and egg. For it we will need:

  • canned tuna in its own juice (2 jars);
  • 6 green onions;
  • parsley and dill;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 slices of bread;
  • black pepper;
  • homemade mayonnaise;
  • sea ​​salt.

First you need to hard boil the eggs. Fry the bread in a dry frying pan or toaster. Now mix the canned food with the herbs, which we first finely chop. Carefully crumble the boiled eggs and add them to the rest of the ingredients. Season everything with mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Mix all components thoroughly: if the mixture turns out dry, then add more mayonnaise. It's time to spread the salad on the toast and cover it with the remaining slice of bread. You can heat the sandwich in a frying pan, and finally cut the resulting sandwich into two parts diagonally.

Let’s separately consider how to prepare it, which will be used as an ingredient for this simple, but at the same time delicious sandwich. For it you need: 2 eggs, 400 g of vegetable oil (a mixture of olive and sunflower), a pinch of sugar, 1 tsp. mustard, 2 pinches of sea salt, 1 tsp. lemon juice (you can use white wine vinegar instead).

All ingredients must be mixed in a blender or mixer, except oil. Add sunflower oil in a thin stream to the whipped mass. We monitor the consistency and stop pouring oil when the mixture begins to resemble mayonnaise. Next, add olive oil so that our product is already brought to the final result.
